On Sunday, October 24, approximately 200 children and adults participated in festivities around the lake coinciding with the Reedy Creek Watershed Shuffle, a joint endeavor of the Friends of Forest Hill Park, the Reedy Creek Coalition, and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.

Activities included looking for bugs under rocks, toasting S’mores, watching a tree planting demonstration, participating in a scavenger hunt, and experimenting with a watershed model presented by students from Patrick Henry School for the Sciences and Arts.  Music was provided by Triad.
